ABOUT

Guille has been directing commercials since 2004. He started his career in advertising as a broadcast agency producer and later on he switched careers and began editing TV commercials. A year later he tried his hand at directing and quickly became one of the most sought after directors in Uruguayan advertising. Guille has a very strong visual style combined with a masterful direction of actors. He handles with ease a wide variety of genres from humor to emotionally driven spots, but he’s best known for his talent for drawing naturalistic performances from the actors.

He has been selected 3 times as Uruguay’s Best Commercial Director, and his spots have been honored in different festivals like Cannes, FIAP, Ojo de Iberoamerica, etc. He has also directed TV shows, documentaries, music videos and short films. His short film “The plague” (2017) has been official selection of some of the most important genre film festivals in the world (Fantasia, Toronto After Dark, Macabro), and has won trophies at Filmquest (Best Horror Short), Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre (Best international Short Film) and Macabro (Silver Skull). Besides his commercial work, he’s currently developing several film and TV projects.
