Biography

Guillermo Carbonell is a Uruguayan film and commercial director based in Montevideo. His work combines a strong visual approach with a particular focus on performance, moving between comedy, drama, and genre filmmaking.

He has directed commercials across Latin America and the United States and was named Uruguay’s Best Commercial Director three times at El Ojo de Iberoamérica.

His short film The Plague premiered at Fantasia International Film Festival, and he worked as Second Unit Director on Amazon’s El Presidente: Corruption Game. His first feature film, Caza y Pesca, is currently in post-production.
